I was thinking this over, and I've realized there are a lot of
modern-day composers. I was wondering who is your favourite?

Personally, I love Clint Mansell (Requiem for a Dream, the Fountain)
and Craig Armstrong (Plunkett  Macleane, Moulin Rouge!, Romeo +
Juliet (the one with Leonardo DiCaprio, set in modern-day)).
